The University Grants Commission (UGC) has conferred autonomous status on Shadan Women’s College of Engineering and Technology (SWCET), It is the first Muslim Minority Women’s  engineering college affiliated to Technological University (JNTUH) to be conferred autonomy.

The autonomous status marks the beginning of a new paradigm for us and inspires us to continue striving for betterment of the institution.

The autonomy granted by the UGC will help the college reach new heights in the future by shaping the curriculum. This would also lead to foreign collaborations, enabling student and faculty exchanges with universities across the world.

The autonomous status would also help the college facilitate internships for students, which could result in attracting more companies to the campus with premium placement offers.
