ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The B.Tech course involves different specializations like Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering ,Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.  Students are free to choose any specialization that suits their aim/ aspiration.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

In order to know about the admission process, you should be aware of the  application process, B.Tech eligibility criteria, B.Tech admission requirements, and B.Tech entrance exams. There are multiple engineering entrance exams in India at national and state level. It is up to the students to choose the national or state-level engineering test depending on their requirements.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE – B.TECH / M.TECH

Between various engineering colleges in India, the major difference one can find with regard to B.Tech admission process is the acceptability of entrance test score. The acceptability of entrance test score varies from college to college and state to state. JEE Main is the widely acceptable entrance test, and most of the engineering colleges in India accept JEE Mains score for B.Tech admissions. Apart from JEE Main, state-level engineering entrance exams are also popular among students. However, state-level engineering entrance exams are confined to a specific state.

Candidates those who are seeking admission for B.Tech. in the Shadan Women’s College of Engineering & Technology (SWCET) can apply through national level JEE Main or state level TS EAMCET. The admission to four years of B.Tech course will be followed by the counseling procedure after appearing in the entrance exam.

Admission to M.Tech course in SWCET will be offered through the GATE (national level) entrance or TS PGECET (state level) entrance exam.

For getting admission in SWCET of Telangana state, candidates must secure good rank in the qualifying entrance exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B. TECH/ MTECH COURSES

Candidates those wish to get admission in SWCET must fill the application form which is available on college website or can consult the college office. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility given below to appear in the said entrance exams.

Candidate should be an Indian national. Candidate should pass 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board. Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.

For M.Tech admission, the candidate must have a B.Tech degree or a relevant degree from a recognized university. Candidates in the final year of their degree are also eligible to apply TS PGECET.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE – MBA

Presently, Management is one of the growing fields among the students to make their career in the corporate sectors of the organizations. To get admission into MBA degree or other management courses, students have to appear in various entrance exams that are organized all over the nation.

Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) is a state level entrance exam. National level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, and CMAT will also be considered. On behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, TS ICET is conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal. Qualifying marks in TSICET is 25% and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.

This entrance exam is a gateway for admission into MBA programme of all the universities & their affiliated institutes in Telangana State.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBA COURSE

Candidates need to clear graduation from a recognized university with a minimum duration of three years. Candidates must have scored at least 50 per cent marks in the qualifying examination. Other candidates who belong from any of the reserved categories including Scheduled tribes, Scheduled caste or other must-have scored a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate Candidates who are pursuing the final year of graduation in any stream can also apply.

Other students who hold a qualifying degree in distance mode program must have their degree recognized from any of the joint committee UGC, AICTE and DEC. Candidates must have good written and spoken English skills

ADMISSION PROCEDURE AND ELIGIBILITY FOR B. TECH LATERAL ENTRY STREAM

Admission is through counseling based on the rank obtained in Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS-ECET). Candidate must have passed diploma in engineering/technology from a recognized university.

DIRECT ADMISSION WITHOUT ENTRANCE

In SWCET, there is a chance for getting direct admission without an entrance test score. Such admissions will be treated as          B-Category Seats admissions.
