SHADAN WOMEN’S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (SWCET) was established in the year 2002 by Shadan Educational Society, a society whose promoters where visionaries and intellectuals from various walks of life all working under the guardianship of the legendary educationist, Dr. Mohd Vizarath Rasool Khan.  SWCET was the first minority Women Engineering College is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH) in 2002. The college is committed to provide quality Technical Education and Innovation since its inception. The college presently offers five Under Graduate (B.Tech) courses in CSE, AI&DS, IT, ECE, EEE , five Post Graduate (M.Tech) Programme in CSE, CS, VLSI, DSCE and MBA with a total intake of 624. The Institution has produced more than 10000 Engineers till date who are working successfully in India and across the globe.

Presently, SWCET is led by a Young, Dynamic, Enlightened and Visionary personality, Mr. Mohd Shah Alam Rasool Khan, Chairman, Shadan Educational Society who always strives and ensures that the quality benchmark of SWCET is maintained.

Every effort is made to by management to develop necessary infrastructure, teaching learning process, support services and facilities for extracurricular activities in an exemplary manner. Any initiative that is required is always forth coming and necessary finances are provided for building the institution. State of the art laboratories, library with latest books ,periodicals and Journals and computer centre with high ended systems in SWCET provide an excellent platform for quality technical education.

Senior Professors who are well known in their own branches of engineering have laid a solid foundation for building this institution. Their enormous experience made SWCET, an institution par excellence in the technical education system of India. The Students are provided excellent opportunities for improving their communication skills. An hour is provided every week for presentation of seminars. Students are also encouraged to participate in various technical paper meets and other contests. They have brought laurels to the institution.

In 21 years if its reign, SWCET has imparted quality education, strong and dynamic Engineers and Entrepreneurs have evolved out of this institution and it is now one of the leading Engineering College in Telangana. High standards and expectation of each student with regard to academic performance, co-curricular activities and responsible citizen are the foundation of our institute. There is continuous check on the implementation of planned academic activities with desired results for grooming our future generations for employment and for higher studies in India and abroad. Research culture has taken shape in the institute through enhanced R&D activities for final year B.Tech and M.Tech students.

SWCET is ISO certified institution, it is a Member of National Service Scheme, it is recognized under 2(f) of UGC, and also established Institution Innovation Council (IIC) as per Ministry of Education,  SWCET has Participated in NIRF, MoE, Govt of India.,  and is also a member of National Digital Library and enrolled in J-HUB, JNUTH, Hyderabad.

 

SWCET is a member of two professional bodies ISTE and CSI. In order to maintain industry-institute relationships, SWCET made MoUs with more than 13 leading industries. The e-resources (DELNET, J-Gate) available in the institute enable the students to access online journals and books. The Digital Library, with more than 25000 books, 20000 Online Journals and above 130 Printed Journals. Implementation of E-governance is adopted in administration and examination. Add-on programs – content beyond the syllabus is offered to students. Strong Mentor-Mentee process is adopted to motivate students towards better performance. The Research and Development centre, Expert Guest Lectures, Industrial Training, Industrial Visits, Seminars, and Workshops offers an unmatched educational experience. SWCET has more than 20 faculty with Ph.D. qualification .The highly equipped laboratories with extensive practical exposure are the strength of the institution. SWCET offers mandatory soft and life skills training to the students.

 More than 2,500 students have been placed in top MNCs since the inception of the institution. The institute follows all rules and regulations mentioned by the affiliating university and statutory bodies. The requisite medical facility is available for both students and staff. Management offers fee concessions to meritorious students. The campus is under CCTV surveillance.
